After installing the MyOwnSIM app on your Android phone and your CRM subaccount, the next step is to configure its features so you can start using it as your SMS gateway and call management tool.
How to Log into the MyOwnSIM App
When you open the app for the very first time, an onboarding process will guide you through the login and initial setup automatically.
If you have already closed the onboarding or want to log in later:
Open the app.
Tap the menu icon (usually three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner to open the navigation drawer.
Select Log In.
Connecting your Android phone to your CRM Subaccount
To establish the connection between your phone and your CRM subaccount:
In your CRM platform, navigate to the SIM tab of your subaccount (as described in Installing the CRM App).
You will see a QR code displayed on that page.
In the MyOwnSIM App on your phone, use the built-in QR code scanner on the login screen to scan this code.
Once scanned, the app will confirm a successful connection.
Adjusting Your Settings
After logging in and connecting your phone:
Open the app menu again.
Go to Tools.
Here, you can enable or disable features according to your preferences, such as SMS Gateway, Missed calls trigger or Smart Dialer.
Important Permissions
The app requires several permissions to function correctly. When prompted, please grant all requested permissions, including but not limited to:
Access to SMS messages
Access to call logs and phone state
Access to contacts
Network and internet access
If any permission is denied, some features may not work properly or the app might malfunction.
Smart Dialer Feature
The Smart Dialer feature enhances your call management by integrating directly with your phone’s dialer so that you can read your leads information before picking up your phone
To use this feature, the app must be set as the default phone dialer on your Android device.
When enabling Smart Dialer, the app will prompt you to confirm this change.
Please accept this request to ensure full functionality of call management features.
You can continue using your former phone dialer application, but calls will be received through this app as long as it is defined per default.
By completing these steps, your MyOwnSIM app will be fully configured and ready to seamlessly integrate your phone with your CRM system.
