# Download the Android App

### What you need

These are the only elements you need to make MyOwnSIM work:

* Your Android phone (with the SIM card you want to use).
* The MyOwnSIM APK file provided by your integration team or downloaded from a trusted source. You can download it [here](https://myownsim-public-apk.s3.eu-north-1.amazonaws.com/MyOwnSIM_V1.apk).
* Stable internet connection.

Costs regarding internet connection are NOT included in this tool, we are only responsible for using your Android phone as a gateway to send SMSs and track calls.

### Step-by-step Guide

#### **Prepare Your Phone to Install APK Files** <a href="#id-65twkieolo3" id="id-65twkieolo3"></a>

By default, Android phones restrict installing apps from outside the official app store to protect your device. You will need to allow installation from “**unknown sources**” temporarily.

1. Open **Settings** on your Android phone.
2. Navigate to **Security & Privacy** (or just “Security” on some devices).
3. Find the option called **Install unknown apps** or **Install apps from unknown sources**.
4. Enable the permission **Allow from this source**.

#### Download the MyOwnSIM App APK

You can download our MyOwnSIM application in two ways:

1. After downloadind the MyOwnSIM application in the CRM Marketplace, you can just scan the QR code and accept the download to start:

A "File might be harmful" may appear when downloading, just press on "Download anyway" as this is a normal safety measure from Google Play.&#x20;
